A very special self-catering house: unrivalled views combined with a spacious, beautiful interior.
A deceptively modest exterior ‘Overwater House’, a holiday cottage in Lochbay, Waternish on the Isle of Skye, is host to some huge surprises not least the spectacular panorama of sea and islands from the large windows at the back of the house. There is no road between the property and the views just the occasional sheep, in fact all the photographs here are taken from the property either in the garden, from the patio or from the spacious interior of the house.
From the back rooms of the house no other buildings are visible, just miles and miles of sea and the Outer Hebrides. The owners are justifiably proud of the tasteful interior which puts ‘Overwater’ in a class of its own and is ideal for people who appreciate quality furnishings on their self catering holiday. The owner’s passion is fabrics and the house has been a blank canvas to fill with beautiful things.
In addition to the views, ‘Overwater House’ is deceptively spacious and can accommodate six comfortably; in fact, it can function as almost two separate apartments, ideal for families who don’t want to be squashed together on holiday. In winter there is also the option of renting just the downstairs apartment.
