Overwater House, a large, detached house on Waternish, Isle of Skye is in an enviable position at the head of Lochbay & enjoys fabulous, uninterrupted views across the sea to the islands of the Outer Hebrides. With its cliff top position, there is no road between the house and the view, the glorious sunsets are a particularly strong feature of this property. All the pictures, here, are taken from inside the house or from the large private garden at the back of the property. Despite its modest exterior, the house is extremely spacious & can sleep 6 comfortably or the downstairs can be rented for couples during the quieter seasons. .
We have tried to create a very special, self catering cottage; the interior has a mix of tasteful furnishings, by Vanessa Arbuthnott, Designers Guild to mention a couple of names, combined with art & ceramics by local artists. We know from the comments in our visitor book & the number of repeat bookings that our visitors appreciate the extra care taken with the furnishings.
Overwater House can almost function as two separate apartments and is ideal for extended families or sets of couples who want to maintain some independence. There is a kitchen & bathroom on each floor. Wi-fi will be available this year. We regret that due to the close proximity of sheep to the property, dogs are not allowed under any circumstances.
